ESTER CUMBER-KRAEHMER
Ester Cumber-Kraehmer is the owner and Principal of Quadrant Orthodontics.
Born and raised in South Africa, she studied at the University of Pretoria Faculty of Dentistry, where her father was the Dean. After qualifying as a dentist, she practiced in the United Kingdom for a year, returning to her home country where she studied for her honours degree in Orthodontics whilst working as a dentist in the South African Defence Force. Ester was awarded her Masters degree in Orthodontics in 1987, the first woman in South African history to do so. During this time she was a founder member of a multi-disciplinary Facial Cleft Deformity Clinic specializing in treatment of newborn infants with cleft lip and palates.
Ester joined the staff at the Medical University of Southern Africa and became Professor and Chairman of Orthodontics. She remained involved with postgraduate training as well as enjoying part-time private practice.
In 1997 Ester, her husband Fritz and son Philip moved to the United Kingdom.
Ester is a keen motorcyclist and an accomplished artist, specializing in oil portraits.
GERRY BELLMAN
Gerry started 'The Quadrant Orthodontic Practice' as it was then known, in 1982, after qualifying as an Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. Gerry has a special interest in Adult Orthodontics and in particular in Invisalign treatment. He has lectured quite extensively in this field, both here and in Europe.
Gerry plays a fair game of tennis and dabbles on the golf course. He is a keen traveller and likes going on activity orientated holidays with his son, Harry.
VIVI GRIGORIOU
Vivi qualified as an orthodontist in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia, in the United States of America. During this time she also met her husband, Richard, a fellow student.
Vivi has an orthodontic practice in Thessaloniki, Greece, but now works exclusively in the United Kingdom, in Richmond, Mitchum and Ealing. She is member of various professional societies, e.g. the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Board of Orthodontics, the Greek Orthodontic Society and the Hellenic Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
Vivi and Richard have one daughter, Sofia, who is their only out of work interest!
